Welcome to SEEDS San Diego (Sending Economic Encouragement to the Distressed). We are a giving circle of Christian women, agreeing upon a statement of faith, financially capable of give $500/$1000 a year, with a calling to make a substantial impact in the lives of the needy. Our distinctives in a nutshell:
- No galas – no fashion shows – no bake sales – no overhead
- Women pledging $1000/$500 for one 3-year term, yearly after that
- We pool our money and give it all away to evangelical Christian nonprofit organizations (San Diego and overseas) that our members choose
Vision Statement (what we will see): Women engaged in giving, exposed to and involved in what God is doing around the world.
Mission Statement (why we exist): To provide the means by which caring women are encouraged to give to those in need in the name of Jesus Christ.
Purpose Statement (how we do it): Our purpose is to direct financial gifts to selected evangelical Christian nonprofit ministries that serve those in need. By pooling our finances as a giving circle, we are able to more deeply impact evangelical Christian nonprofits that minister to those in physical, emotional, and spiritual need in San Diego County and abroad.
It’s recorded that Martin Luther was once asked what he would do if he knew the world would end tomorrow. “I would plant a tree today,” he said. It is in this spirit of hope and continuance that we offer SEEDS to you.
Explore our website. Our giving circle is hassle-free, but the opportunities to get deeply involved with the organizations and people we meet are countless.
